Visit Korea - Kim Chi Making

We started the Sunday with a unique Korean porridge breakfast. The are four flavour ranging from seaweed, abalone, etc. It is perfect to eat porridge with the traditional Korean side dishes such as Kim Chi and ikan bills.

We visited the Kim Chi making shop. There is a teacher who speak very fluent Mandarin guiding us. We were guessing whether she is a Korean. There are plenty of them at every tourist shop that we visit. Later the tour guide told us that the Korean tourism board recruited quite many Mandarin speaking foreigners because the they have a lot of Chinese tourists.

The Kim Chi was made by the 3 mothers. They will not be thrown away but given away for charity purpose. Koreans are quite environmental friendly try not to waste any resources.

We took a few photos with the traditional costume after finished making Kim Chi.

This photo is taken outside the Kim Chi making venue. This is a typical street view with lots of wire and low rise old buildings.

Visit Korea - Lotte World

This is the entrance of Lotte World - indoor/outdoor theme park located at the heart of Seoul.

Jessie is happily playing...

And Jonathan too.

Since the weather is so good, we ventured to the outdoor theme park. It was lower 20 degree Celsius, nice and cool.

Benjamin is crazy enough to flush his face in front of the giant water mist fan. This is how he looked after a few seconds.

We queued for almost one hour for the indoor hot air balloon ride.

The indoor hot air balloon ride went Round the indoor theme park and offered a nice bird's eye view. We enjoyed the ride very much.

This is a indoor 360 degree roller coaster. We waited at this point and witnessed a few trains of screaming fun riders.

Beautiful night view of indoor Lotte World.

We got a few souvenirs for the children.

Visit Korea - Journey Starts

It was a midnight flight.  We reached there quite early and had plenty of time to kill.  The kids are happily feeding themselves Mcdonald junk food while waiting for the luggage check in.

Jessie and her pose.

We reached Incheon airport in the morning.  The kids had a tough time in the night since it is very hard to sleep "upright", especially for Jessie.  The weather was quite bad and we went through a few flight turbulence.

We adjusted our watches 1 hour ahead and made the arrival time 10.30 local time.  The flight took 6.5 hours.

This is a typical scene in the Seoul street.

This is one of the more beautiful residential building.

Our first meal where we had 1 main dish (steam boat with mushroom and chicken meat) with a few side dishes such as kim chi, ikan bilis and white carrot.

We do shopping after the lunch.  We are very tired since we didn't sleep well on flight.  We took a break at the basement cafe in the shopping centre.
