Visiting Udders Ice Cream

We had nice ice cream there.  After the ice cream, the children scribbled on the black board on the wall.

It looks like they are drawing but actually they are just writing their names.

Jonathan's Drawing

Today, Jessie complained: "Who drew on the back of my sticker paper?" I immediately knew whose master piece it was. Jonathan has drawn countless pieces of such drawing. Each one is different but distinctly his!

Re-visiting Singapore Zoo

We visited the Zoo in the afternoon, right after the morning party at office. The weather was good. In the Fragile Forest, a few butterflies chased Jessie and Jessie was horrified and ran around in circle. I think those butterflies must be mistaken Jessie for a giant flower.

The last stop is their all time favorite, the Rain Forest Kiz World wet play area.

BringING Kids to Work Day

4-Sep is a special day for my children.  I brought them to my office to attend the BringING Kids to Work event.  They are so amazed by my dual monitor screen and teleconference phone.

They start with watching the Madagascar movie.

This is Jonathan favorite activity for the day - making mosaic in penguin shape.

Jessie made a duck shaped mosaic.

These are all the childrens from my colleagues.

A magic show...

This is the children magician.

Jessie got two nice toys from the ballon artist.

They had happy meal before leaving the office.  It was really fun for them!

Gathering at Bukit Batok Tree House

We swam and ate barbecue dinner there. The children had lots of fun. This is one of the simple thing that kept them busy towards the end of the dinner - playing with ice.

Sunrise at Desaru Beach

I woke up at am and ask Ben and Jon whether they are joining me to watch sunrise. Jon shook his head and went to sleep. Benjamin went with me. We brought 2 white towels along just in case it is windy and cold.

We reached the beach at 6.30am and they are about 10 persons at the beach.
We found 2 plastic chairs and patiently waits for the sunrise. The moon was still bright up the sky.

The sky slowing brighten up...
Ben collected a few stones from the beach.
We took a stroll to the next resort along the beach.
When we come back, we finally saw the sun emerged from te cloud around 7.20am.

Visit Korea - The Journey Back

Jonathan requested to take photo with uncle Allen when we reach the airport.

We took a group photo with Allen and the photographer. They are very good guides and left us with a very good memory of Korean culture and people.

Mother took a photo with them. I suppose these are the mistresses and chamber maids. Later when she tried to stay next to the main cast for another photo. They started to march to next stop and accidently covered her under a giant umbrella. The sight was quite funny as she was completely swollen by the umbrella and we can only see her leg. The umbrella holder didn't even notice this and she finally made her way out of the umbrella.

We have 4 hours to kill at the airport. We had dinner and do shopping. Jing Wan was very delighted to see the good price for cosmetic products at the airport. There are music performers for entertainment too.

Traditional Korean art.

We reached Singapore past midnight and slept about 4am. We resumed our usual Saturday routine reluctantly at 9am for Jessie's dance and Jonathan classes. These are our "loots" from Korea.

Visit Korea - Spa Resort

After the farm visit, we went to the last hotel in the trip. This is a spa resort hotel. We spend a few hour in the late afternoon in the water theme park. We skipped the Spa pool section where it requires us to be naked. We went to the indoor swimming pool for a while. We step out to the outdoor water theme park and it was a little chill. Our body adapted to the temperate after a while. The River Tidal is really fun. It is like a wave pool but it goes round in a circle canal. The wave was quite big too.

Visit Korea - Cow Farm

Feeding the giant cows in the farm. The cow can eat one plate of grass in one gulp. Those cows are really tall.

The baby cows can drink very fast too. I think they are hungry and always waiting for tourist to feed them.

Almost everyone in our tour group tried milking the cow. The poor cow just stand there and let all the amateurs milk her. Some touch the wrong tip and the cow complains by moving back and forth. See all my children touch the same tip.

There is only one goat (临时演员) in the cow farm.

After the feeding and milking, we went to ice cream making workshop. His is our first time making ice cream. The tools and process are really simple. Big metal bowl with ice and salt on them, small metal bowl with milk and flavour. Just put the small bowl in the big bowl and keep moving the small bowl against the ice until you see the milk turned into ice cream. It took about 15 minutes and we made vanilla and chocolate ice cream. They are very tasty and we finished them all. After all, it is the fruit of our hardwork.
After the ice cream making, we took a tractor to go around the farm.

There are the Korean horses. They have shorter legs and are good for farming.

There are also some outdoor display of artwork in the farm.

These are the Ginseng farm next to the cow farm. All the shade is built to face south east (东南方) so that only the Ginseng are only exposed to morning sun.

Visit Korea - Yongin Everland Theme Park

We reached the park before the park opens. There are already long queue being form before 10am. All the park attendances are well dressed and doing the signature hand-waving gesture. That is how they greet us.

We followed the tour guide closely and head straight to the Animal Safari, which is located at the furthest corner of the park. We need to take a sky lift down.

See the big roller coaster at the horizon?

Our tour group took a bus by ourselves so that our tour guide can take over the mic and show us the animals.

Lion, White tiger and Liger (offspring of lion and tiger).

There are lots of bears. Three big brown bears: the itchy back one, the playful one and the sleepy one.

We took a children roller coaster ride with minimum height of 120cm. The girl looked at Jon and took out a measuring stick. He cleared it as he is 123cm now. We enjoyed the ride. It made a small vertical circle. My neck is bent too much when it went through the circle. Jing Wan was busy holding on to her spec and didn't see much. Ben and Jon enjoyed the ride very much.

Jessie had ice cream at the waiting bench. She demanded for her fair share of rides after that. We brought her to Octopus Ride and rotating cabin.

We went to see the beautiful flower garden after the ride. It is a pity that we ran out of time and need to hunt for lunch. I passed the camera to Ben and he took so many photos, mostly with Jon as the subject.

Some photos are well taken such as this one.

Jing Wan also took many photos and make a collage here.

After having a fast food burger lunch, we head towards the last resort which is a spa Resort.
