From Scientific Calculator to Financial Calculator

My first move to enhance my Asset Management knowledge is to take up CFA Level 1 Examinination. After I bought the recommended calculator, I realized that it's quite radically different from the scientific calculator that I used in the school days. This bulky silver colour calculator will be my future companion. Getting to know it better and use it efficiently is my first goal.

While the mother was doing marketing, we were waiting. See these two little monkeys. They just climbed all over in the car. Jon was very happy to hold on the steering wheel.

This was his new found toy at the domestic helper agency. The Pooh Bear kept him quiet and occupied for quite a while. We got to snatch the toy away from Jon when we were leaving the shop.

Jonathan Birthday

He learnt the trick of blowing off his birthday candles this year. And Ben learnt not to blow off his younger brother's birthday candles.

East Coast Cycling with Jonathan

This was a lovely morning where I cycled with Jonathan for 1.5 hours. We started near the Macdonald and cycled east towards Changi Airport. We saw 3 aeroplanes take off with loud noise and Jon was excited about it. On the way back, we saw people wind-surfing, laser sailing out of the East Coast Sailing Club. At the end, we took off our shoes to let Jon experience the sand and waves. He was ok with the sand but still didn't like the wave. Well, I think most kids will find the wave overwelming :-)

I just bought a new toy - a Canon 430EX flash reflector (GaryFong Dome). I am playing and experimenting with it. You know, it's quite hard to ask kids to post for you sometimes. It's especially so when they are excited and playing. So they just ran around me and I took many many shots. In this picture, you can see that both of them are still full of energy and running around at half an hour before sleeping time.

All of them enjoyed the fish feeding. All the kois are well adapted to being fed. They swim towards who-ever human object that goes near the pond.

In this KL trip, I realized that my big family name is printed on Giant size posters all over Malaysia. I see the poster on building like this, along highway, etc.

A little friend

Rou Rou visited us, along with her parents for a steam boat dinner. The kids had a great time playing with each other. This was a picture taken before the parting moment. This little girl went home only after a little persuasion from her parents. :-)

Benjamin - the young photographer

Early in the morning, Benjamin was playing with my K800i Phone Camera. He took many pictures. He showed me this picture and say's this is his bright bright hand. It's quite a fresh way to start a day, isn't it ? He also took pictures of his little brother and Jon is very cooperative too :-)

Catching Fish, the Kampung Way

On a Sunday afternoon, we visited the fish farm situated between Yio Chu Kang and Khatib MRT Station. There were 2 ponds with 2 distinct groups of people. One was the prawn fishing pond for the adults. The other one was the tropical fish pond for the kids. It's 10 dollars per kid. Ben was really excited about it and we got one set for him. It's by no mean easy to catch those fishes for a young kids. Tat and me had to jump in to help to trap the fishes between the stones. We brought home many fishes and there goes my plan to ditch my deserted fish tank.

Benjamin's Birthday

We planned for a happy weekend. We made him feel loved and arrange a series of gift, surprises to him from Saturday morning till Sunday night. He sailed a remote controlled boat for the first time at the Lower Peirce Reservoir and owned his first bicycle on Saturday. On Sunday, we made him a Thomas and Friends cake. He placed the candles, and distributed the cakes to everyone before enjoying his cake.
