Visit Korea - Kim Chi Making

We started the Sunday with a unique Korean porridge breakfast. The are four flavour ranging from seaweed, abalone, etc. It is perfect to eat porridge with the traditional Korean side dishes such as Kim Chi and ikan bills.

We visited the Kim Chi making shop. There is a teacher who speak very fluent Mandarin guiding us. We were guessing whether she is a Korean. There are plenty of them at every tourist shop that we visit. Later the tour guide told us that the Korean tourism board recruited quite many Mandarin speaking foreigners because the they have a lot of Chinese tourists.

The Kim Chi was made by the 3 mothers. They will not be thrown away but given away for charity purpose. Koreans are quite environmental friendly try not to waste any resources.

We took a few photos with the traditional costume after finished making Kim Chi.

This photo is taken outside the Kim Chi making venue. This is a typical street view with lots of wire and low rise old buildings.
