A Spooky Morning - 清明节扫墓

We reached the graveyard around 6am.
We were very surprised by the heavy mist.
It is probably the heaviest mist that I have ever seen
in my life on flat ground.

We hastily found our way to the temple to seek
the blessing of buddha in this spooky morning.

这是清明节的最后一周,香火并不多。

Peaceful dawn.

向观音祈求平安

Approaching the end of the spooky morning.

向天公点香

We moved on to the tomb from the temple.

The mist was still there when we reached the tomb.

This is the troupe visiting the tomb.

The usual coloured paper and candles.

Burning of the offering.

When we are on the way to my eldest brother's tomb,
we saw the sun in the heavy mist.

Another shot of the sun, showing how heavy the mist was around 8am.

Can you spot the school of birds flying across the blue sky?

It was quite hot there.

We had our breakfast around 10.30am
at Taman Ungku Aminah.

MacRitchie Reservoir

We reached there about 11am. We enjoyed the last 30 minutes of sunny morning.

We turned back at this point, just in time to get back without being stucked in the rain.

Earth Hour 2012

We supported earth hour at home from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.  When we looked out from the window, we realized that we are probably the only household using candle light.  Hopefully there will be more people doing this next time.
We took the chance to do homework together.  It is nice to use candle light since we have to stick close to each other so that we can share the candle light.  There is also no other source of distractions such as TV, smartphones, gaming devices.

At the end of the hour, Jonathan asked if we can do earth hour everyday...  :-)
